Hi I am Kavya, I’m a counseling psychologist and psychotherapist based in Thane, with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. I’m a certified Queer Affirmative and trauma-informed therapist, hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and am an Integral Somatic Psychology Practitioner.

My approach is mostly Person-Centered, but I also bring in different methods depending on what works best for each person. I see therapy as a space to explore, reflect, and work through what’s coming up.

A friend however might not know how to respond to certain thoughts or emotions or might not know what to do in case you feel overwhelmed while sharing about certain stressful events. A therapist being a professional knows to create a space where you can experience your thoughts or emotions and is equipped to help you ground yourself in case you feel overwhelmed.
